A Parton Model for Inclusive Semileptonic B Meson Decays
The parton model for semileptonic B meson decays is studied with special attention to the decay distributions. We find that the spectra show dramatic variations when we introduce cuts on the hadronic energy or invariant mass of hadrons. Results for both b → u and b → c decays are presented. We present the most precise inclusive measurement of the branching fraction and photon energy spectrum of b → sγ radiative decays up to date. The photon energy distribution is measured for E γ > 1.7 GeV. The measurement is performed by the Belle collaboration using 605 fb −1 of data recorded by the Belle detector at the KEKB collider.
